Eviction of villagers from Wild Life Sanctuary: Publication of notification.

 The petitioners challenge the order of passed by Administrative officers. The orders related to the eviction of certain villages are within the Dampa Wild Sanctuary. The orders were made under Wild Life Protection Act.

Under section18 of the Act a notification has been issued by the Development Commissioner declaring the area given in that notification within the Dampa Wild Sanctuary.

The petitioner contended that there was no publication of such notification in the official Gazattee the said notices cannot be sustained. The court observed that the provisions of Chapter IV of the Act. The said orders are without jurisdiction and they are to be setasided.
